Understanding the problem
Spotting difficulty and supporting it are one job.
In special education, occupational therapy and accessibility, the same people do two things: they notice when a child’s writing isn’t developing normally, and they help that child write better. Today both rely on the eye and the finished page, which hides the tremor, hesitation and uneven pressure that live in the motion. The pen’s signal can make that motion visible: early enough to flag, detailed enough to support. That’s why we treat assistive support and screening as one market, not two.

One example
From a flag to a six-week plan
A school OT notices a Year-4 student’s writing isn’t keeping pace. The student writes a short passage on ordinary paper with the pen, and the motion signal surfaces where pressure spikes and the hand hesitates mid-word, an early, objective flag.
That same signal then shapes a paced support plan. Six weeks on, the drill shows steadier pressure and fewer pauses, progress that’s measured, not guessed.
