The patent covers the method that makes everything else possible, sensing the motion of writing from the pen itself, rather than imaging the page. That's why a camera company can't simply copy it.
Dual-IMU sensing
Two inertial units plus supporting sensors capture force, tilt, velocity and pen-lifts as the hand moves.
On ordinary paper
No dot-pattern, no tablet, no special notebook. The signal comes from the pen, the page is just paper.

Who it supportsThe pen is dedicated first to assistive technology for autism and children with special needs (CwSN). Its inbuilt OLED display turns writing into interactive learning: gentle, immediate feedback on the stroke just written and a nudge toward what to try next, right on the pen, with no screen time. On-pen recognition works offline, and progress is measured against the child's own baseline, never a norm. Built with special educators and clinicians as support, not diagnosis.
